No real comments about the episode itself, since not much really happened. It was a good tie-up to the show I think, and I'm sad its over. I think that's why I've re-watched this show so many times, because I really didn't want it to end. I swear, this show better not join the list of "s2 never evers".

2024-06-05 01:52:46 +0000 UTCI believe that Falsch was specifically referring to fluctuations that occur when someone suppresses their mana. If we go back to the Aura fight in episode 10, when Frieren made Aura aware she was suppressing her mana. Aura replied with "That's impossible [...] There was no hint of the instability or variation in mana output that comes with suppression." Aura says here that there are instabilities and variations in mana output that comes with suppression, and we learn that since Frieren has trained so long, she doesn't have those instabilities and variations. Back to episode 27: Lernen: "I could tell at a glance that she's suppressing her own mana." Falsch: "It didn't seem to me like she was suppressing it. I observed none of the typical fluctuations. No living creature with mana can conceal these fluctuations." Then Serie goes on to tell the first-class mages that Frieren has trained her entire life in this "useless skill" because it lets her deceive demons, and she praises Lernen for seeing it. Lernen replies with: "It was a coincidence. I just happened to see a minor fluctuation." With the context from episode 10, this reads that Falsch couldn't see any of the typical fluctuations that, as Aura put it, comes with mana suppression, but Lernen saw a single fluctuation that tipped him off that she was suppressing her mana. The fact that Falsch doesn't mention Serie's fluctuations is because there's no reason for him to mention fluctuations outside of the context of mana suppression. And since no one can see Serie's fluctuations, no one mentions it. Serie is so impressed with Fern because she CAN see the fluctuations in Serie, denoting that Fern is special cause she can do something no one has ever been able to do before... see Serie's true power. We know that Serie's *suppressed* mana is equal to Frieren's *true* mana (cause Lernen, who can see Frieren's true mana says "Frieren's mana is almost equal to yours."). But we have yet to see what Serie's unsuppressed mana is. Anywho, that's my 2 cents on the matter. Since I haven't read the manga, all the above is just my take-away from what I've gleaned from the show, so I could be wrong. This comment is long enough, so I'll post it as-is and will post another if I have anything to say after I finish watching the reaction lol
