2024-06-13 02:35:04 +0000 UTCI'm not too sure if I mentioned these thoughts on your previous MT reaction with Griffin, but if so, I'm sorry but I'm doing it again. The Eris barn scene in this episode filtered a LOT of people out of watching this show. A lot of people are unable to watch shows that feature main characters they don't like or don't find agreeable, which I don't really understand but to each their own. I more understand the people dropping it due to the sexual abuse. But, for better or for worse, a main theme of this show is how Rudy is a piece of shit human being, and him wanting/trying to change himself. At this point in the story, you're not supposed to like Rudy. You're supposed to find his perverted actions (like the barn scene) totally despicable. One thing I love about MT is also the one reason I hate mostly every other Isekai. In most Isekais, the main character is a generic no-one in the real world, and once he's transported he's suddenly a chick-magnet, exudes confidence, has a great personality, etc. Like somehow just because the MC is "reborn" in a new world, all his personality problems/insecurities are just gone. In MT, Rudy carries over all his flaws, insecurities, ways of thinking, and disgusting habits. He said that he knows he was a piece of shit in the old world, and that this is his chance to try again and have a new life. People need time to change themselves, it's not an instant process, especially if they have an arrested psychological development and carry some pretty severe trauma. They have to want to be a better person, and actively work towards it. Lastly, it wouldn't be a Kelven post if he didn't correct SOMETHING, right? Theta is correct. Rudy DOES write his personal notes in Japanese. And also, Justin is correct. The aphrodisiac would work with either gender. The merchant says "One sip lets you go ten times without pulling out. Give a woman a sip, and she'll be drooling and spreading her legs, they say."
