Isn't it so awesome that the master (Anno) basically handed Aim for the Top over to his protege (Tsurumaki) and the two creations are surely very different but almost equally legendary in my eyes. Diebuster's final scene also does not disappoint in comparison to Gunbuster's conclusion.
