Unfortunately, the next time we see an episode Justin will no longer be with us. I've tagged in Lessons for all the requested viewings, but that also means I'll have to explain to him the story so far, lol.

2024-09-04 14:38:53 +0000 UTCAh man, only half way through, this is taking so long. Btw there will be some musical numbers and they're nothing too grand or anything but a lot of fun. This is still a rather shallow interpretation but one could also understand the man with the sunglasses (not the detective) as an actor who plays the role of antagonistic force in different characters, always interrupting the family's story. It's also quite valuable to compare this OVA to other shows Oshii has worked on, for example one source I read stated that Gosenzo-sama was inspired by his time on Urusei Yatsura. In that case Maroko would be a bizarro version of Lum the invader in the sense that they both come into a household and create mayhem. Of course things take a different turn here.
