Oh yeah. for UC gundams just need to be named gundam to be gundams. Also not all fed suits are gundams, mostly just high specs suits and also some what looks like the rx 78-2.

2024-10-02 05:34:11 +0000 UTCMobile Suit Variation or MSV for short is additional material that is made to add extra background to the technology in Gundam, mainly in UC, and Astray is primarily showcasing designs from the Seed MSV. For example, the orange Gundam is a melee variant of the Calamity from the 3 druggies, creatively named Sword Calamity. I'm trying to be vague to avoid accidentally spoiling anything from Destiny so I think that's as much as I can say about Astray.

2024-10-02 05:11:14 +0000 UTCAstray is...different. What you saw were cutscenes from a game, arcade if I remember correctly. Astray was originally going to release at the same time as seed and both stories would've referenced each other however problems with scheduling would've delayed Seed and the idea was dropped at around episode 25ish. Astray was going to show some background stuff such as how Kira survived, the mass produced ORB suits (M1 Astray) being made despite heliopolis being destroyed, etc.
