My couple points: - Everyone knows about the freedom and what it looks like because of its legendary feats during the war. The Freedom is like this world’s superman. - Not that many people know that the freedom is actually piloted by Kira, or who Kira is to Lacus, or who Kira is to Cagali. To expand on this, no one in the Earth Alliance would know since Kira’s defected from them by the time he has the freedom. Most ZAFT people know someone stole it but don’t know who either, realistically only Lacus faction people could know as some of those folks helped give it to him (assuming they even know who Kira is or just thought he was some guy) - A derivation from the above point is that Shinn doesn’t know who Kira is or that he’s the pilot of the freedom. To him he’s just some guy he met the gravesite Opinions/thoughts: I personally found it fun that the episode after Shinn goes seed and reveals himself to be an ace pilot we see Kira going into seed and re-entering the battlefield. Arthur even compares the two while discussing Shinn’s feats. Perhaps this is the most obvious take of all time, but I like how the show is probing us to compare and contrast them.

2024-11-28 01:33:03 +0000 UTCCouple of points: - At the end of Seed the Justice exploded its nuclear reactor when self-destructing to destroy Genesis, so the Justice no longer exists -the color of a person's Seed matches their eye color: so Kira's is purple, Athrun's is green/teal, Cagalli's is yellow, Lacus's is blue, and Shinn's is red (I know we've never seen Lacus "bust a seed", but in the first season there is a brief shot in one of the last few episodes where she is monologuing and then her eyes change to the look a person has when Seed mode is activated and Reverend Malchio did refer to Lacus and Kira as "bearers of the Seed"). -the Atlantic Federation is a government that is a member of the Earth Alliance and is the primary driving force behind the Earth Alliance's actions, especially after the destruction of JOSH-A, Alaska where the Eurasian Federation lost a significant number of its forces. -While the Zala faction (which may or may not exist) would have reason to hate Lacus as Theta says, Durandal has a more pressing motive to have Lacus killed as if Lacus moved to the PLANTs while Meer was impersonating Lacus, that would significantly undercut his credibility with the rest of the PLANT Supreme Council and with the general public of the PLANTs -Fun fact: Yzak has the same voice actor as Gilgamesh in Fate Zero
