[SILVER] Gundam SEED Destiny (Episode 22) "Sword of the Azure Skies"

Also, the scene where I believe you'll misunderstand the events that occur has not happened yet and will happen more than two episodes from now. If you misunderstand I would not blame you because the detail you need to notice only occurs in a scene that lasts only a about one second and it is very easy to conclude something else given what else is going on. I'm not even sure that the scene I'm referring to wasn't an HD remaster add on and I'm going to dig through my old dvds to rewatch the original version of that episode to see if it was originally there.

My notes for this episode: -While Heine and Athrun are technically the same rank, Heine has been a member of FAITH for longer so he has seniority over Athrun. -While the Freedom is currently the only nuclear operated mobile suit, it is worth considering that there likely have been general improvements to mobile suit performance and technology since the end of the last war so the Impulse and other mobile suits made have general technological enhancements that the Freedom doesn't have. Whether those improvements are enough to make a difference is a different matter. -Remember that in Season 1 of Gundam Seed a lot of Gundam pilots did die so I don't think its fair to say that having a Gundam protects you from dying. -I believe that the point the show was trying to make with why Yuna named the operation the way he did was to emphasize his lack of military experience and that he was more concerned with things that didn't matter than actual military matters necessary for victory. Remember, Yuna had no part in Orb's fighting during the last war unlike Cagalli and I think this lack of experience is emphasized when he orders all the mobile suits to launch and Todoka and his XO react with shock and tell him they can't do that but he forces them to do it anyways. -While I think we're supposed to emotionally connect with Todoka given his history with Shin, doing what he could to let the Minerva get away when the Earth Alliance Fleet forced it into Orb waters, and not intervening when the Archangel was leaving with Cagalli; I think the audience's emotional attachment is supposed to be with Orb as a whole and to regret how they are being used selfishly by Djibril and Logos to fight in this war in a way that violates the founding principles of Orb and how its current leaders (not including Cagalli) don't seem to care about what might be lost if the nation continues down this path. -Fun fact: in the original English Dub for Gundam Seed, the actor for Kira had someone kick him in the balls whenever he had to do a crying scene so that he would actually be crying to make it more authentic.
