2025-01-07 17:49:43 +0000 UTCI used to be one of those people saying that the movie’s were better than the show, but after rewatching the show and movies back to back, I think I’ve realized that it’s specifically this 3rd movie that I think is better than the show, I prefer the show to the first 2 movies. I just think the reordering of events and makes this third film stronger than the show’s versions of these events. I think it’s mostly how the re-contextualize Char’s motivations, and how it better integrates the thematic material with the Newtypes. The third movie also didn’t cut anything I really liked and I think everything they cut improved the story being told, where as before a lot of the cuts actually make the story and characters not as good.
