Jinshi's cheek mark was an imprint left when he was pressing his face to the door trying to listen to Maomao's lesson. No big significance to it, it was just meant as a funny "haha, he was really trying hard to listen in" gag. Regarding Maomao doing servant jobs when Jinshi said she wasn't going to... well, that was BEFORE she failed the court lady exam. However, she failed it, so Jinshi's plan for her (whatever that may have been) probably has changed. It hasn't directly been addressed up to this point but that's what I'd assume. "Maomao knows about the guy I took screenshots of..." - I'm unsure whether the banter between Maomao and Jinshi in the "Maomao no Hitorigoto" shorts is actually canon or not, so I personally wouldn't put much stock into it unless said in the main series. I may be wrong though, this is actually my first time ever seeing them (tbh I didn't even know they existed before you mentioned them).
