The Hidden Secret Message Behind Rey's Theme

I've been going over Rey's theme and keeping up to date with the discourse only to find out that Disney doesn't actually have a plan for the trilogy.
In all honesty, I get why they didn't make Luke Rey's father, but it just feels like there's gonna be a lot in episode 7 that never gets paid off.
In the end of the day, if Disney doesn't know what they're doing, then how is Williams supposed to know?
And I figure that if this is the guy who had to have the theme for the galactic empire somehow fit for a kid in the desert, then he already knows the best way to plan for this kinda thing.
