I remember walking out of the theater after seeing this film, turning to my girlfriend and saying "well, that's a video."
The interesting thing about neurologic music therapy is that it either works, or it doesn't.
When you hear the phrase "music therapy" a lot of people tend to think of a hippie type singing 'kumbaya' while someone aligns your chakras or something.
But when NMT works, it REALLY works.
Although this won't "cure" anyone, the whole idea behind NMT is that it'll strengthen the synaptic connections that the patient has left, and give them more time with whatever they still have.
In short, it'll slow the progress of whatever disease they're fighting.
All in all, I'm really happy with how this one turned out.
It was a LOT of reading, and plenty of late nights trying to figure out which sources I was going to need and where, but all in all I think it came out well.

This was really interesting, i’ve heard of music therapy but I had no idea how it worked. I wonder if the directors knew about all this when they made that scene, I’m figuring they must have to make it fit so well.
