Weekly Update #63

Strangely enough, I seriously am kind of liking this "write three chapters within 24 hours at the very end/start of the week" thing. Since I woke up yesterday, on a Sunday, I am still counting this as "last week" since my "work weeks" run from Monday - Sunday.
Anyways, I'm sleepy, so this will be enough quick update.

This ended up being my busiest week in a while, actually. I started three new projects... and scrapped all of them. I wrote 2-3 chapters for each one and then wasn't happy, so I'll try to recycle the ideas into something else.
Anyways, 48 hours, 32,809 words for the past Monday-Sunday. Very proud of that even if I did end up scrapping the attempts at new things.

I feel like the latest chapter might not be as good as other recent TTE chapters, but overall, I'm still very happy with everything regarding TTE right now. I'm still happy with the latest one, too. There are just some parts that I think were great, some parts that I think could have been done better and had a better build up to them, but that can always be fixed later on. One of the cons of being a discovery writer with web novels is that I don't really get the chance to go back and add foreshadowing to things nearly as much as I could if I was just writing a normal book and then publishing it on Amazon or something. I only know the super major events that happen. 95% of TTE is unplanned and I discover it only hours before you all do. So, I there are some things that I think will come off as much better in a future self-published edition since I'll get to revise things and add in more hints to future things that I didn't originally have planned.

This is why I don't try to come up with puns. I'm just bad at them and not even in a sort of bad-funny way. But seriously, she's perfect. Don't you get that by now? She just gets to shine so much more now and, imo, be a much more interesting character with more depth.

I'm glad to hear that people have been liking the latest chapters, and even the people on RR are starting to warm up to Snow. Though, I hope they don't warm up too much to her.

I'm so tired I'm sorry for subjecting you to this.
But yeah, this volume has ended up being longer than planned again. It's probably at about... the 75% - 80% way done? We've got some more action coming up, and then we're really going to be diving into some more character-heavy stuff.
Also, I've literally never written anything involving vampires before, so getting into some more of the vampire-y stuff is going to be really fun.
Just keep in mind that my ideal type of vampirism is the Monogatari type. You will definitely catch some references and inspirations if you have seen the series at all, especially the Kizumonogatari movies.

Also, this is pretty much at the end of the first volume, and I only got through like 1/3rd of the stuff I had planned for the first volume. Woops. Wait, I think I already talked about this. Anyways, that's alright. The first volume does a good job, I think, of being a sort of giant setup while showing people what they can expect from the series. I plan on things moving much faster starting with the second volume.
There are... so many waifus that are going to have arcs dedicated to them. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating when I say that this story is going to have a harem bigger than all of my other stories' harems combined. Times two. Maybe times five.
Seriously, there are going to be a ton of waifus. I just came up with a plot arc for like 3 more of them.
Serra is going to have some serious competition as harem master.
CORE
This also had a chapter that I don't think was as good as it could have been, but it served as a good-enough introduction to the upcoming plot arc that is going to span the volume. Much more will be getting revealed about the volcano and the surrounding area this volume!
