2026-01-11 05:48:55 +0000 UTCit must be my personal love for this show that makes me so incredibly emotional because I have seen no other reactors have the same reaction I do lol....it's an amazing story, the end is beautiful and bittersweet and heartbreaking, the score just cuts through your soul like a knife. I was a theatre kid. I have seen Wicked on stage 3 times – the first in New York and twice touring in Dallas. it's one of the very first musical soundtracks I ever listened to in middle school and it's one of the things that propelled my passion for the theatre and for music. I think that's why it hits me harder than anyone I have ever met...not only the story is emotional, but I have such a deeply rooted connection to these characters and this story. so I will sit alone in my apartment with my cat and sob and shake until I am nauseous (no, I am not exaggerating lol).

2026-01-11 03:37:15 +0000 UTCI would say that while the film is a visually stunning conclusion, it suffers from the "Act II problem" inherent to the stage musical, characterized by darker themes and a more convoluted plot. But somehow I had a smile on my face and was humming "For Good" driving towards home. The first film still defied gravity while this was a slight step down.
