Sketchbook βΏ August week 01
Added 2025-08-10 16:11:19 +0000 UTCHappy Sunday! This weekβs drawings are here!! π
This week I wasnβt really inspired, so I looked through Pinterest for Japanese foods and random ideas. I donβt usually do it because somehow I feel that ideas should come from myself, although we all know thatβs not sustainable if you want to make a living out of it. Otherwise I will always draw the same things that I find comfortable and never try different ones.
This week I will upload the full video of the γγηΌγ (taiyaki) down below, because I really want to talk about it. It didnβt turn out as expected at all, the shadows are too harsh and the orange mid tone didnβt show up properly, being too similar to the yellow tone.
You can take a look at the reel on my Instagram if you want to see a bit of the process~
Iβm not used to this kind of contrast and I donβt really like it, thatβs why I think it would be a really nice mini video tutorial on how I would fix it :))

Thank youu!! Actually those are the ones that I have colored recently! As for the Taiyaki on the newest post you can see the difference once I do the coloring I actually had in mind~ it's more soft and orangey~ :))
