Progress Update #28
Added 2018-02-16 19:42:43 +0000 UTCSonic 2 was one of the first video games that I ever played, and it's probably my favorite in the series, so I have a soft spot in my heart for all the zones in this game, especiallyCasino Night Zone,I loved playing the ring slot machines when I was a little kid.
So I'm having a blast recreating all these backgrounds, I'm totally abusing that stargloweffect, but I think it fits really well here. And I never realized this before but there's a lot of detail in this stage. There are so many combinations of tile patterns, sprite animations, and color palettes in all the neon signs. It seems messy at first but it all comes together so beautifully! I have a new-found appreciation for CNZ, and it made me realize just how muchMystic Junglelooks like shit.
Anyway, there are just a couple more assets left to make, and I'll start animating the CNZ scenes this weekend. After that, I'm going to make a video update, because there's a lot of people who don't read the Patreon:p, and I got a lot of stuff to talk about. So if everything works out, that will go up on the 24th!
