Only the character's heads are animated on the Eekum Bokum video, so I opted for a more detailed art style. It's basically the same style that I used in those backgrounds that I posted earlier this year. It turned out pretty good, I didn't have any problems, but then I had to keep this same style for NomNomNom, and it was a little bit more challenging! It requires some setup with photoshop compositions and lots of masks in after effects. I ended up not making full character rigs for the crocodiles, instead, I animated each body part separately, and linked all the compositions to some slider controls. It's a little bit messy but it gets the job done. You can download the assets down below:
