But the first year or so after S1 I was just drooling and spazzing like an addict - accidently spoiled myself too by looking things up. I was a child then, so yeah. Anyway, we made it, fellow patriot.

His voice actor was really good at convincing viewers of his pain at being literally torn apart... Horrible in my opinion. Besides, it was during this episode that I started to become interested in Hange's character, she is much more badass than I thought. During my first watch, I thought she was a bit crazy in S1, but turns out she's actually way more serious. Apparently, she can be even more scary than Mikasa or Levi when she's angry. Btw, fun fact that very few people know about : The black jacket that Levi is wearing is actually Hange's jacket, which is why sometimes he just put it on his shoulders. (I was curious about it because I found it special to wear a jacket like that, I thought it was just a Levi thing lol).

2024-10-19 15:34:41 +0000 UTCIt's important to note that the events at the end of s1 (female titan vs eren in Stohess) were happening simultaneously with the start of this episode when the soldiers were on standby. The 104th were kept under watch on standby to ensure no others from them were titans, hence why Miche says there is likely no titans from the 104th when he sees the titans coming from the south. They were also not included in the Stohess operation for that reason. Additionally, just as a little point worth making, there was a 4 year gap between season 1 and 2. This is also why the art such as character details in s2 is a significant step up from s1, and is probably the best across the entire series, with only the finale rivaling it.
