2024-10-24 08:18:35 +0000 UTCNo, I meant that ones like "Female Titan" and "Beast Titan" make sense to be skipped since they are a direct spoiler of the episode content and are very clear - but this doesn't apply to every title. So my suggestion was that Ronnie should make some kind of judgement about whether an episode title should be skipped or not (in this manner you skip some and see some, but don't skip everything). It's up to you of course, if you decide to just skip everything it's okay too (however, the vast majority of episode titles are not really spoilers, that's just what I meant).

I can understand that a title like "the female titan" spoils the episode, but it's not like that with every episode. For example, it would have been nice for the group to read the title "Historia" - and then by the end of the episode, realize that this is Historia's name (there is no spoiling here, only a foreshadowing that improves the experience). Same with the episodes titled Soldier, or Warrior - the episode names are part of the experience, and in my opinion, should not be skipped unless it's a very direct spoiler (so Ronnie can tell the group whether a title is okay to see or not, and they can then look at it before it goes off screen). Other than that: Rowan keeps saying juxtaposition when I think the word foreshadowing is more relevant. There are also a lot of literary devices being used in the story telling (like the repetitive exploration of certain themes, foreshadowing, etc) - it's not just "juxtaposition" the whole time. I might have ignored this but I have a feeling that Rowan will keep yelling "juxtaposition" in the next ten episodes so forgive my wining :p

2024-10-23 12:50:15 +0000 UTCI fcking died laughing when I heard the castle anecdote again 😭 Low-key a fire anecdote though Also, Rowan is my goat, even though I sometimes feel like my ears are bleeding when he speaks… (sorry m8) Juxtaposition is just a storytelling tool every good writer uses, but I understand where the hype comes from. I’m sometimes pissed when people only like episodes with explosive twists and crazy fight scenes. Recognizing juxtaposition means that you find the quieter shifts in character more meaningful, and finding hype in that I think is cool as hell. I think Rowan’s just discovering what the true essence of story is so he’s over-hyping juxtaposition when it’s just a thing that people use all the time. It’s like opening your eyes for the first time yk?? Also, Ymir is still one of my favorite characters ever. Thank you Ronnie for explaining her a little bit more in the last episode. She’s such an awesome character. Historia, for me, is also an A tier character, even from those snowy scenes alone. Her insistence for Ymir to just tear the tower done was SO good. Historia was trying to teach Ymir to be selfish, and Ymir tries to get Historia to be selfish too, but in a less suicidal way lol And Nah, I don’t think that part of him holding her leg was at all sus, neither was him telling Connie to dismiss the voice, but everything else though… Also Ronnie PLEASE tell them this is all happening in 24 hours. The sun was setting when Eren was recovering from the Annie fight, and on THAT NIGHT, Reiner got his arm bit and all the fights at Utgard Castle happened. Then in the morning, Ymir transformed. Shortly after, Reiner and Bert transformed. The whole reason I’m saying this is Levi has been injured for ONE day and maybe a few hours. Connie, Historia, Ymir don’t know Annie’s a Titan, and Reiner, Bert don’t know she’s been found out. PEACE
