Comments

Such a good episode! And some good discussions too.

Dayna Jacob

Yes he doesn’t appreciate eren as a character, that is evidenced by his comments about eren in season 3 part 1 and now here again. He has an idealistic idea of eren which doesn’t exist

Sean Carroll

The Survey Corp pulling up was INSANEEE, this really brought back 2021 memories of watching this when the episode first dropped and everyone was hyped af, oh how I miss those days πŸ˜”. Also, I feel like Rowan liked Eren for his hyped badass nature as that angry little kid, I don't think he appreciates him as a character himself and hence struggles to acknowledge his growth and shift in mindset.

Uzair Ali

I meant to just make the first move

david

"So far, this new Eren is taking some time to me to adjust to him" XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Pawel

"so all eren did was begin the war". The declaration marks the beginning...

kebiro

ehehe, love the reaction! you were all so hyped :)

Rena Unnie

Pretty sure he knew at one point but i think he just tends to forget things faster than the others. Especially meaning of words that he learned through the show and didnt have a clue about beforehand.

Ash Kaulitz

I knew Rowan wouldn't like this new Eren considering he loved loud-mouthed, reckless Eren.

Hippopi

How does Rowan not know the meaning of nape in SEASON FOUR?

Hippopi

25:40 In this situation specifically, the MACRO of what eren did was understandable but the micro is where the problems are. Willy literally declared war on eren and paradis, so all eren did was begin the war. Question is would it have been better for them to wait on the island to be attacked and possibly lose unnecessary civilian lives in the walls, or go on the initiative and have to take unnecessary civilian lives in collateral? Theres no correct answer obviously, so eren did what he could. Now the micro is where characters like jean and sasha differ from eren and floch like you guys said. Although theyre in war, jean was clearly still worried about the civilian lives while floch saw everyone as an enemy, even calling them "things." Thats where the big grey area gets black and white, theres no defending what eren did in terms of the civis, its definitely taken too far to show a point

david

We need a "juxtaposition" word count at the end of the series lmao
