i love how Gabi and Falco are a perfect reflection of Eren and Armin. Also yeah as you guys discussed, this battle truly was insane as it is the most chaotic we have seen up until now with so many things happening everywhere at once. Like yes, the Shiganshina battle was great, but that was sort of broken down into three mini battles on different fronts, but this was pure mayhem in one space involving absolutely everything, titans, guns, grenades, artillery, ODM, nukes, airships etc, truly the first real "war" we have seen. This is probably my favorite battle in the series, which is why I've always wished for a remake of the Marley arc because the only thing that it lacked was a bad production as did most of s4 part 1 due to the insanely tight production schedule. The studio had around 9 months to make 16 episodes in the height of covid so most people were working remotely, which is insane considering a typical 12 episode anime takes around a year in regular conditions. Hence why they opted to go with CGI titans to speed up the work flow. However, the CGI does massively improve over the different parts of s4, so I just wish we saw the final chapters level of quality here in the Marley arc, because that would have made this battle even better. Don't get me wrong, it still looked freaking amazing considering the constraints they had to work with, but seeing it with the massively improved CGI models and animation of that in the final chapters would have been the cherry on top.

2024-11-28 16:03:09 +0000 UTCI hope Ronnie does this with the guys in the future, but show them the Season 1 cover of the show side-by-side with the Season 4 Part 1 cover. Instead of Eren (the victim) looking up at the Colossal glancing over the walls, it's Reiner (the new victim) glancing up at Eren over the roofs of the houses. Instead of Eren's world inside the walls being burnt to ashes, it's now Reiner's world in the internment zone being burnt to ashes. It goes to show how they integrate the message of the show into things like the cover art which are (usually) there just to look good. The way they mirror the tragedy on both sides of the walls is why Season 4 is easily the most in-depth and complex seasons of TV ever. Personally, the moment that clicked in my head was when Eren was pounding Galliard's head into the ground even after beating him to a pulp. It felt too vengeful and ruthless; he was just doing it to make him suffer. I really couldn't fully endorse and justify one side specifically so I viewed the rest of Season 4 as a "spectator".
