I am so glad Rivaz and Biraj are on different sides of this argument. Personally I am on Rivaz and Zeke's side this world sucks, being born into it is a curse. Our world here sucks theirs is even worse. I get how Zeke got here and that's why he's my second favorite character.

Karabo

Biraj's love for Erwin is so pure. Love it

Karabo

"Eren was the son Grisha needed outside the walls, and Zeke was the son he needed inside"

Jay

Biraj knows what's real

krai

Biraj made a great point about Zeke’s plan!

Zamzam Yusuf

nice discussion i really enjoyed this one !

Even though they look all buddy buddy, Zeke didn't trust Eren at first or else he would have just touched him when the met in Liberio and carry out his plan. According to Ksaver, Zeke was just the key so he didn't want Eren to have control. And that's crazy to sterilize a whole race! And someone asked the right question: 'will it stop all wars?'

Dayna Jacob

Can I just say, as someone who’s watched probably 5 full reactions to this show and the show itself maybe 10 times, I really enjoy listening to your discussion and observations.

I agree with that. If that plan were followed , the Founding Titan could never be in Royal Hands again, unless the Vow was somehow dismantled first. They’d have to continue the workaround of a Non-Royal holding the Founder & Royal holding another one of The Nine as the key to the lock 🔐.

Paris Hardy

There is absolutely nothing “noble” about nonconsensual sterilization and eradicating an entire race of people.

A more diplomatic way for this resolution would've been to ally with the Eldian Conservation Act (that pro-Eldian organization that gave a speech in S4) to emigrate all the SoYs from around the world onto Paradis. The Rumbling deterrence would've worked in order to enforce that. Then, the 9-titan problems are for the Paradisians to resolve, away from any racial discrimination. Of course, there will have to be internal measures to hold control over those powers. Something similar to the Warrior problem, but obviously more consensual and honorable in nature. The MPs and Scouts will have to keep tabs on that. The Vow renouncing war will hope effect for as long as the FT is in Royal hands. But if the Rumbling deterrence is ever necessary, the MPs and Scouts will know what to do.

1. I doubt that could be done, because that was something even Ymir couldnt do as it was given to her by the "source of all living matter." 2. If they were able to do that, the whole world would still have distrust and most likely kill all eldians, Eren probably thought of that as a possibility but realised he needed to level the power of the world with the power of Paradise island for a chance of peace in a World without titans.

Krish Degamia

Titans are only a problem because humans weaponised them, the euthanisation plan isn’t just or “noble” i’d argue. it’s just a racial sterilisation. and i don’t think you guys realise, the eldian race don’t get a say in this, it’s forced sterilisation against an entire race.

KilZero

Also I always wondered, why can't they just change the anatomy so that they can't turn into titans anymore? Like, change their anatomies to that of normal humans like Marleyans.

Calliope

I love how heated their arguments get lol

Calliope

True and true. I still bristle at the thought of someone having absolute power over someone. And asking an entire race to die for their ancestors crimes against humanity doesn’t seem like the answer either. Essentially they’re repeating King Karl Fritz’s “slow suicide” pact & taking it several hundred steps forward. If there was someway to isolate the 9 recurring powers & dull the ability to be transformed in all others that might offer a path forward. However, that doesn’t necessarily safeguard future generations if another maniac comes to possess the Founding Titan.

Paris Hardy

I appreciate the little bro having such a strong oppositional take on the Euthanization plan. But also, this stems from an Individualist, Humanist perspective. The acknowledgement that all Humans are created equal. But AoT being a fantasy story, adds something on top of it. That is, this particular race of people can transform into giant man-eating monsters. And they have in the past and they have wrecked havoc having wielded that ability. They had a monopoly on Power, Colonialism and oppression. And so, the modern world's, Marley's in particular, fear is justified to an extend (not the treatment of Eldians btw). The criticism for the Euthanization plan comes from the notion that someone has a singular authority over the bodies of a race of people; that's a neoliberal, libertarian, bodily autonomy argument. From such a fantastical scenario as such posed by AoT, it is not the worst argument. And I doubt it is comparable to Nazi-Eugenics shit. Of course, it will become a "noble solution" if every Eldian consents to manufactured Infertility. Well of course, the moral stance comes down to, as to any solutions posed by AoT, whether the ends justify the means.

Forgive me if you’ve done this before, but could you please start displaying your Names at the beginning and the episode so we can address you properly? 🙏🏿 Thank God for guy on the right arguing against Eren & Zeke’s plan! 😂 I was about to be flabbergasted by the guys cheering for racial sterilization. Zeke’s thought process echoes literal eugenics/nazi shit. Mass Forced sterilizations have happened in our real world across the globe from America all the way to China & should not be looked at as some “noble act.” I can understand not wanting to bring future generations into a world of suffering, but my understanding stops at the point you force your ideology onto someone else’s body. There could be no greater violation. This is one of my Favorite episodes/chapters in the story because of the feeling & critical debate it sparks within me & the fandom as a whole.
