2024-12-14 23:03:38 +0000 UTCalso they mention the attack titan can glimpse into the memories of its future inheritors, thats not just the singlular next inheritor, but all to come. so eren kruger could see erens memories (that he chose to give him) and all other previous attack titans as well could have been given memories by eren. that is precisely why the attack titan always stands for freedom, because it is erens will they are all inheriting. eren krugers words of save mikasa and armin are that of eren jeager, not grisha, when theyre having that talk on top of the wall at the end of s3.

Sometimes when I talk with people that stopped caring about AoT at some point, it's because they didn't understand this concept well. 2024-12-11 15:56:45 +0000 UTCI've found the best way to go about explaining this is to break out the whiteboard and markers, and then make the linear timeline with the causal loops in it. This show isn't about time travel or altering the past or future in some Marvel Avengers style. It is a linear timeline with a casual loop connecting very particular events. Any points in the timeline that happen in the middle of the start and finish points of the causal loop MUST happen exactly as they do, cause that's what casual loops are. A time paradox cannot happen, but everything that will happen and has happened has to still happen. The reason the causal loops started happening is because an Attack Titan, which can be shown it's future inheritors memories should they allow them to be seen, went into the past (Eren and Zeke's walk through memories). Giving a Titan with the power to 'see' in the future sights of the past is a wombo combo. Point of discussion, the reveal of the Attack Titan is a masterpiece. Firstly, it was clearly a special titan from the start right? Even before the Nine were laid out plain, there were titans such as the Armored, Colossal, Female etc. The show does such a good job at having you just go with it without asking the obvious. It's just "eren's Titan" and there's no need to ask any questions, right? It's what we all just accepted despite obvious blank spots. And then after the reveal about it being the Attack Titan, we never really dove into the potential of its powers. Just Eren Kruger's small descriptions about its purpose morseo than its powers. Nutty

2024-12-11 14:26:42 +0000 UTCOk, so I’m gonna throw you for a curveball here and mindfuck you even more, when I tell you that the “future memories” ISN’T an inherent power of the attack titan itself, rather it is due to the founding titan sending memories back. This is something that very little people realise, because it’s so damm complicated 😂. I can’t really expand on why right now though due to spoilers, but just keep that in mind.
