It really depends on perspective for me. I didn't know what side to root for. In the end I decided that if I'm on Paradis then I'd probably be selfish and only care about myself and my loved ones and have to turn a blind eye to Eren and the Jeagerists. If I'm off the Island or not an eldian then I'd probably fear Eldians and the rumbling would make me think we see right to fear them all along.

I guess it just comes down to which one is the least worst option (if that even makes sense) but even then it comes down to a battle of morals and what you think is right vs wrong which is individualistic, so there'll never be an ultimate right or wrong choice.

It's just that her character was butchered through seasons 1-3 as the old studio, despite doing a great job with visually adapting the series, they butchered many story elements such as Mikasa's character, watering her down into being overly obsessed with Eren and nothing much else. But the new studio stayed faithful to her manga character, hence the shift in her character this season.
