So no, even though the Eldians are our main cast it's not justifiable to kill humanity for the smaller group. I am team Eren, but I acknowledge it is a selfish goal even though the world brought it on themselves through their hate/discrimination.

2024-12-15 11:01:17 +0000 UTCi’m not sure how much is my opinion and is factual but i never personally interpreted the memories system to be so influential. throughout your discussion you guys bring up armins crush as a result of bertholdt and also now the euthanization plan and how that ideology may be passed down. however i don’t think that’s necessarily consistent with what we’ve seen. eren for example doesn’t suddenly have feelings for dina or his mother because of grisha’s memories. if historia ate zeke i don’t think she’d suddenly become on board with the euthanization plan because she’s her own person with her own feelings too, but she’d just gain a new perspective to look at. she’d remember someone else (zeke) being in support but she herself isn’t defined by her predecessor. i think armins crush on annie is something you can see building in s1 with the whole good person debate too and then after gaining bertholdts memories and seeing more of her personality through someone else’s eyes, then the crush became more prominent. i don’t think that fact that bertholdt liked her tho means that armin suddenly does too. memories can influence your outlook because if your predecessor had a good ass idea then might as well build on it, but i don’t think it’s like mind altering in that way. 🤷♂️ basically i think if my mom made a pie she really loved and i really really hate the taste and then suddenly got her memories of liking the pie i’d still hate it but i’d just remember my mom liking it.
