Yeah I also thought they were going to cut it completely, in the anime it seems like like they're just pouncing on the convenient opportunity since it just happens to be going bad, whereas it's very much planned ahead in the source material.

Everyone knew that S-rank healer is doomed, but his death still hits. The POV shot of the Japanese healer girl was such a nice touch, and the use of the same music as in the season 1 when the black ant beats all the Korean S-ranks - chef’s kiss. And let’s not to forget about the mastery of cliffhangers in this show, it just keeps raising the bar!

But it had only ever been played once back in s1, and so the one thing I was begging for was for them play it again, and holy shit did they pop off when they did. 🔥
