This movie also changed my perspective about forgiveness and redemption, also to be someone able to forgive. Great reaction y'all I am sure you would love to watch "I want to eat your pancreas" or even "bubble" both amazing movies

The main theme is more about connections and finding peace with yourself&fighting demons rather than a romance. Great reaction, picked up some juicy details as always 💯

For me, it was growing up never feeling that I deserved love because I never even felt pretty. I cannot forgive them, because they never even said sorry or cared to do so. But there are people who deserve forgiveness if they are willing to be better for the person they hurt

Your guys' reaction was just like mine the first time I watched it and it was great lolol The people behind this film deserve a standing ovation for this masterpiece. Kyoto Animation are masters at the art of drama storytelling alongside Yamada's experimental mentality in the art, who's known in the industry for using legs to breathe expression and personality into each character. Ushio's minimalistic soundtrack is also a huge standout that sets the tone. He's a master at extracting emotions every time a lone piano starts playing. Fun fact: Just like Shoko, the dub English actress, Lexi Marman Cowden who voices her, is also deaf. If you guys want to walk further down this line are liking the drama, something closer to reality like this. Check out: "Hibike! Euphonium" a highschool band drama where Naoko and Kyoto Animation go incredibly hard with the story telling and visuals, tying into one of my favorite films of all time that is created by the same staff, "Liz and the Blue Bird". The Seattle Seahawk's coach for drumliner views these two pieces of media amongst the top of his list across a spectrum. "86 Eighty Six" is also up there as one of my favorite military dramas if you want a different kind of spice. Another modern classic film is "Your Name". An absolutely gorgeous anime movie. I really appreciate you guys for branching out trying to explore the full medium of what anime has to offer and I always look forward to your guys' next reaction. Till next time!

2025-03-22 20:16:34 +0000 UTCWhen I watched this first I never liked Ishida and everything that happened for him and his friends. I thought bullies no matter what can't be forgiven. I didn't get why they went through all these friendship routes when they didn't even ask Nishimiya for forgiveness first and foremost. It hurt everytime to see Nishimiya say sorry when they should be one begging her for forgiveness. It's just seem consciencely illogical to me how they came to be. But now even though I still hate them, I like the lessons of socializing, the Japanese' way of dealing with issues, and those three popsicles weren't candies but plant decorations (and it means "i love you").
