The fact Thorfinn resorts to running away which is what he thought was cowardly from his father at the start of the show is so poetic. And not just that but he says it in front of his best friend, the king and a hundred barbaric Vikings. That takes more courage than drawing a sword, which is why Canute laughed. Because it sounded too ridiculous to be true. Also the fact that Olmar came to the conclusion on what a real man was in a couple of weeks is very admirable considering it took Thorfinn 15 years. And a small detail: Thorfinn woke up the next day without having experienced a nightmare. It's the first time we've seen him wake up peacefully.

2025-03-25 03:53:21 +0000 UTCGreat catch on the "Someplace that's not here" as the S1 Ep1 title. Many reactors miss that. This show loves to come full circle on the themes it presents to us. We needed season 1 in order to truly see and appreciate Thorfinn's growth in Season 2.

How both changed, one from being a pacifist to almost a destructive ruler and the other one going from destructive to being a pacifist. I really love how just everything is connecting. Thorfinn proving to Canute that his method is not the only way. Thank you bros for this amazing ride so far <3 "Carve that encounter into me"
