2025-09-27 06:00:46 +0000 UTCThe ost when Zohakuten (the hatred demon) appeared with his dragons gave me so many chills the first time I watched this episode. The composers are just SO GOOD at what they do - they create masterpieces that suit the ambience and the aura of the person the ost is for (take Giyuu's theme for example, which is light and flowy, but also fierce, like him and his water breathing OR Tengen's theme, which is extravagant and explosive, just like him and his sound breathing). I could honestly write a whole essay about the genius behind each of the hashira's and upper rank demon's themes (Akaza's is my favourite, followed by Gyutaro's) but I'll refrain HAHA Anyways, a small detail I love to point out about the transformation of the four original emotion demons into Zohakuten is that when anger reaches its upper limit, it consumes all other emotions (like how Sekido absorbed Aizetsu, Karaku, and Urogi) and turns into blind hatred (Zohakuten!) I love the parallels drawn to actual human emotions, even though the demons are the FARTHEST away from being human. It's such a nice touch!

2025-04-18 04:04:47 +0000 UTCNot you guys being gagged by how beautiful Haganezuka is under his mask JHBHJBJHQB I was so shocked when his face was revealed for the first time, so SAME. I think the second half of the episode really encapsulates Tanjirou's impact on the rest of the cast in the series. His kindness extends to everyone else, as does his mindset and way of life. When he told Muichirou "Whatever you do for others will eventually come around back to you as well" we saw that Muichirou was affected because the light came back into his soulless eyes for a moment. That was the point when his memories started to return, and it's revealed in the next episode why this happens. Again, the bonds over time and relationships built in demon slayer are always interconnected in a way that allows for development within. I just love how rescuing Kotetsu ended up saving Muichirou's life because without him, he would have really died in that water prison pot.
