A lot of people call this the calm before the storm, which is okay and is nice in action packed anime like DS, but it's so incredibly uninteresting and mundane. There were some genuinely cool moments, but nothing too memorable. Ofc filler is filler for a reason, but genuinely good, engaging, and immersive filler is still a thing. I won't say any spoilers ofc, but there are some things they could have explored more instead of what we got. That's all I'll say, but I can't wait for you guys to make it to the last episode!
