Tell me why I teared up for the nth time when Kyoujurou appeared on screen with his theme playing in the back. I don't think I'll ever get over how much his death gutted me and left me with nothing but PAIN. He's literally my favourite character ever and it makes it hurt so much more because of how often the series brings him up in every season. Ufotable REALLY loves this man too with the way they gave him a whole ass anime original episode plus these beautiful shots of him whenever someone remembers him when he was alive. Sabito being Giyuu's childhood friend really surprised me when I first found out (through spoilers lol). I wasn't expecting him to make a reappearance at all since the first season, but considering how much presence he had as Tanjirou's imaginary trainer, it isn't really that much of a shock to know that he was a talented, amazing swordsman who had his life cut too short because he was so kind. If he hadn't been running around all over the mountain trying to help his fellow demon slayer candidates survive Final Selection, his sword wouldn't have chipped so much that it just snapped when he tried beheading the hand demon. But even then, he wouldn't have regretted it, because that's just who he is. Selfless, strong and kind. I found myself appreciating him so much more after this episode. Giyuu's friendship with him was so wholesome and sad.
