2025-05-29 16:22:50 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but the creator Furudate worked primarily in the horror/thriller genre before making Haikyuu!. The scene with Hinata, Tanaka, and Noya "ghost" is a nod to those roots. Keep an eye out throughout the series for certain scenes that have a creepy undertone, or character expressions that perfectly illustrate a murderous intent. One of the many things to love about this series is how effectively Furudate shows conflict between characters just using their expressions. *chef's kiss*
