Lmao 1:05:22 Saying their accents are terrible is hilarious. Maybe it's the voice acting that didn't necessarily appeal there, but as an American from the east, I tend to love most southern American accents so much. Think about someone from the states of Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, or even Texas when you see those guys. These guys would be likened to deep south American hillbillies irl, but that's a different kind of southern American accent tho. A different kind of American fr. 😂

2025-06-29 16:44:39 +0000 UTCGreat reactions! As far as Sokka’s beliefs go on “mystical” stuff I think there is some context that needs to be considered with his viewpoint. In the context of Avatar’s world science and mystical things are defined differently than our own world. So to someone like Sokka, Aang interacting with the spirit world and the creatures that live in it is a factual and repeatable experience or in otherwords, it’s sorta part of the world’s science. This is the case for basically anything that has a concrete explanation. This is actually how real world science kinda works but the difference is stuff like the spirit world isn’t a factual repeatable experience irl. So Sokka being skeptical of actual unexplainable myth is more him saying that he thinks there’s a logical explanation for what is happening and it being spirit world shenanigans is part of that list of logical explanations cause the spirit world is provably real in Avatar. It might be mysterious and hard to understand but it also does follow its own sort of logic with its own rules and limitations which pushes it further out of myth and more into a field similar to string theory in physics where it’s something that we can make good educated guesses at but don’t have enough info yet to make conclusions on how the whole scientific field works.
