Zuko's story is so peak. Best redemption arc in FICTION

Karabo

When it comes to Azula I essentially let it be when her character is inevitably seen horrible by other reactors. She is a threat that holds more power. But it’s such a breath of fresh air to hear all of your thoughts discussing her background and the limitations that can come from it. No kid praised and essentially raised by Ozai is going to be normal or comprehend human connection. Because all that matters is dominating people and putting yourself on a high pedestal of “perfection.” You guys are so amazing in catching all the details and looking into the layers that others don’t!

Maria Gonzalez

Mhm I really adore Iroh’s character and he will never fail moving me to tears. But he did give up on Azula since she was young and didn’t really try to connect with her. As you can see when he gave her a doll which did not fit her interests. And she’s only fourteen but is already deemed someone “crazy” and to be taken down. In his words. She was definitely a kid with harmful qualities reflecting of her father but unfortunately it only grew and solidified when she has no one but her father’s approval.

Maria Gonzalez

I feel really bad about Azula, you know I love Iroh, but the man is uncle to Azula too, and he doesn’t give a s&$t about her, Zuko had it rough but he had the love of Iroh an his mother, Azula only receive the hate from Ozai

Christian Almanza

Guys, did you notice that when Iroh revealed to Zuko his affiliation with Roku, Zuko was in the light, whereas before he was always in the dark ?

Dzetfr K

Sokka got dragged into the spirit world by Hei bai in S1

Drai

Same 😂

Paula Morales

Anxiously waiting for the drop now, will it come tonight? 👀

Taimoor Qureshi

Episode 6 is so wholesome man

Roy Richards

One thing -- I am unsure if this is canon or not: the reason why Iroh has that artifact is because he was the Crown Prince, Ozai never was. Azulon allegedly named Ozai heir at the last minute before Azulon's death.

love your reaction! crazy detail you might’ve missed- in Zuko’s dream (after freeing Appa) he sees two dragons, one red and one blue. The red one represents Roku’s legacy and the blue one Sozin’s. It s basically showing the clash between them and the inner struggle Zuko’s stuck in.

The next avatar show pls

Jeyson De Jesus Finch

And you guys are absolutely bang on with the analysis at the end--- I also saw Sozin as an opportunist: fully intending to help Roku initially, but then he took his chance to enact his plan. I'm so hyped that you all notice the exact right things, ask the right questions, theories, etc. I hope you guys can handle the continued mind-melting experience moving forward 😍 Can't tell you how happy and excited I am to be on this ride with you

1:01:38 "How would he know ?" Remember a certain Winter Solstice episode back in Book 1 when Sokka got snatched by Hei Bai? His response to Katara after coming back: "I seriously need to use the bathroom" 😂 The nuggets of continuity in this show are brilliant (and hilarious lol)

Anna H

Sokka knows there are no restrooms in the spirit world. Remember when he was captured by the Hei bai spirit back in book 1? When he got out, he immediately had to go to the restroom

Random fact young sozin at rokus wedding is Getos english voice actor from jjk lol. Lex Lang is so good

david

Zuko's voice actor for the beach scene went fucking crazy man

What's remarkable about Uncle Iroh is that he actually embodies the values he espouses. It's one thing to speak about hope and inner strength, but another to uphold those ideals when tested. He once told Zuko, "In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength." And yet, when faced with the loss of his son, and later imprisoned and branded a traitor, he doesn't falter. He lives what he preaches and that's far rarer, and far more admirable, than simply having the right words.

The avatar and the firelord episode is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show

Noah

Some fun facts about "The Beach" episode: - Zuko is visibly skinnier than in season 1 because of his lifestyle in Book 2 - Ozai actually wasn't the person in Zuko's flashbacks, it was Iroh and his son Luten - Azula instincitively knew Zuko would be at their family beach house, a rare moment of her showing genuine concern for Zuko

Jay

You asked about why Roku doesn’t have the arrow, the arrow is the mark of an air bending master, Aang mastered air bending young. Roku was originally a fire bender, so whilst he did master all the elements he probably didn’t fit the usual criteria for the arrow.

Cosmic Traveller

Idk how but it literally ONLY GOES UP 🗣️🔥
