From the way their household is portrayed, I imagine that Wakatoshi’s mother’s family is probably a distinguished one, and since his father married into the family, his position at home must have been weak. That’s why the scene where he earnestly begs them to let his son keep his left handedness moves me every time I see it.

I’ve watched Haikyu with other reactors that have missed important small details, and I would end up feeling disappointed it went over their heads.
