2025-09-09 04:00:33 +0000 UTClong post i clearly remember tuning into hxh when it was streaming in TV 10 years ago... everyone at school watched it and you were lame if you didn't catch that week's episode. In Japan, HxH would stream at golden time which was pretty much 7PM-8PM when everyone was at home and could watch after dinner or while watching dinner. HxH is a remaster of the 1990s original so everyone literally knew the plot but it was really one of the biggest animes streaming at the time. Needless to say, I have watched 100+ animes but HxH is still my favorite anime of all time. When I saw you guys started watching it, I promised to never watch a single episode until you guys reached episode 20 and would binge the whole thing once you get that point. HxH is relatively weak in comparison to the newer animes in terms of concept, but it is definitely the blueprint for so many of the iconic animes of our era (in fact many mangakas and animators have explicitly mentioned homaging HxH in their animes etc. Sasuke's eyes, AoT character designs. But I do want to stress that the highs of this anime is still unmatched even by today's standards. Itspower system is STILL the best out of all the animes out there, and there are episodes that are just too memorable. I said HxH was shown at the 7PM timeslot, but at a certain arc, it was moved to the 1AM timeslot and it lost all its viewership. But when you will get to that arc, you will definitely understand why it was moved to the midnight timeslot. It's a masterpiece that needed to be gate-kept from the general public. HxH is not for everyone, but it is for you, it will definitely be an unforgettable anime among the many others you have watched and will still watch. In this age where people talk a lot about aura farming, I literally can't help but be happy for you guys to watch this anime. The next 120+ episodes will truly be an adventure. It won't be like the other long animes with so many fillers - these 148 episodes mean so much to me and I believe it will be for you guys too knowing you all love anime with substance and have a keen eye on detail. Highkey jealous too. I would do anything to watch this anime again for the first time.
