⚙️ Framework Hub Devlog (January 10, 2025)🔧

Hey everyone!

As you can see in the image, Nirav Patel (CEO of Framework Computer) sent me a 13-inch Intel laptop to help expand Framework Hub’s compatibility. Thanks again, Nirav, for your support! 🙏

Today, I started testing Framework Hub on the 13-inch Intel laptop and began working on Intel CPU support. Let me tell you, it’s no small task! Reworking my CPU detection system to precisely enable/disable RyzenADJ and enable/disable ThrottleStop (depending on the CPU model) took me quite a while. (Thanks to you, I had coffee ❤️)

It’s still not perfect, but at least it works! 🥲

As a safety measure, I’ve also added compatibility checks before using any RyzenADJ/ThrottleStop functions, and I’ve made sure any modifications reset upon reboot.

I had a lot of small bugs to fix for this new support (and I’m not finished yet!), but I’ll make sure both Intel and AMD users have the same polished experience. Team Blue and Team Red are both part of the same Framework Laptop family ❤️

I’ll continue my work on Intel integration tomorrow and keep you updated with the latest news! Thank you all for your support and feedback. It means the world to me.

PS : If some of you are powerusers of RyzenADJ/ThrottleStop and have experienced some limitations with them on your Laptop 13" AMD/Intel or if you have profiles you tested on your machines, please tell me everything about it in the DMs.
