One of the best British shows I watched last year was Lost Boys and Fairies. Only 3 episodes in that one! It's excellent though, about a gay couple going through the process of adoption. I cried. Worth looking it up if you can find it over there (it's still on BBC iPlayer over here). Another excellent British show from recent years was It's a Sin, about the AIDS epidemic in the 80s, which came out during Covid times, which somehow gave it even more poignance. That one's just 5 episodes, all excellent. It was written by Russell T Davies, who also created the original Queer as Folk (also a great watch, if you haven't seen it - and potentially an interesting case study in whether shorter is better - the original UK show was a similar length to Fleabag, but the US adaptation went on for 5 seasons! Both great shows in their own ways, I think). Have you guys seen Ted Lasso? I caught up with it only recently and loved it. Not as much about sports as you'd think, given that it's set in and around a sports team - it's surprisingly emotional, and funny! There's a great pre-planned 3-season story arc (though they've recently started making a 4th season, I believe). Not British per se, but set over here and starring mainly British actors (plus Jason Sudekis).
