You know what I also find interesting in this mirroring based on what we may learn much much MUCH later? Grisha being an Eren, and Faye being a Mikasa... The only missing part is a Mikasa. Almost like the parallels existed, but mikasa's not in that parallel in terms of shared similarities. You'd argue that if we're talking about badassness, the owl gets shit done and isn't afraid to get his hands bloodied, but if we're talking about love interest or care, then even Dinah is the complete opposite of Mikasa: Mikasa's an ackerman immune to royal blood effects, and Dinah's a royal blood that's bound to king fritz's will, and Dinah's a devote follower that followed grisha even when he went super extreme eldian restorationist (she pushed him towards that goal instead of questioning it, even to the point where she was aligned with what they indoctrinated into Zeke... and that's why zeke reported BOTH parents not just grisha right?), as opposed to Mikasa who bitch-slapped eren for eating his damn food in season 1 even if she's doing it from a place of love and care LOL. it's uncanny how the similarities are there and the clear lack of a parallel similarity is also there. And so now we're seeing it happen again with zeke and eren being on extreme sides of a war again based on what we've seen, and to quote Caitlyn to talking to Ekko in Netflix's Arcane: "You have every right to , but if you do this, the cycle of violence will never stop... Please, let me help."

Yeah it's interesting to see the parallele between Faye and Armin personnality too. Eren and Grischa want freedom for freedom, because it bothers them to live in a cage, the 2 others want it for the beauty it allows them to experience. Ofc there are some nuances i ntheir behaviors but it explains a lot about their fate

You can’t find reactor’s like them often. Reacting isn’t just facial expressions end of video! I appreciate their character, they made this show rejuvenating to watch a 6th time.

Exactly, I only commented that out of admiration and relief simply because when you search for good genuine reactors to watch that are intellectually coherent & attentive it makes you appreciate the art that is AOT more! They elevate that experience 3 folds with their authentic open minded curious nature instead of putting on a facade for us like some reactors.

could be 2 things. Either the in-world controversy which i wont talk about because it's the show itself. Or the out-world controversy (our world) where people had that initial "why does this look like a holocaust internment site" and then threw a hissy fit and didn't bother to enjoy the show for what it is. Heck some peopel didnt even continue watching to get the questions that they wanted answered, and just kinda did something similar to a badly titled rage post on reddit or blog post, and just made their own assumptions without actually letting the story run its course. Some of the absolute WORST garbage reactors are people like Nerdy Nightly or whatever their shtick is. They started off interesting to watch and then they did nothing but nitpick at erwin and the show, made the absolutely worst assumptions because they had zero attention span, then complained when their OWN assumptions were wrong as if the show was badly written instead of , u know, them being dumb... and then didnt have patience to get told the story... These people and controversial haters are the equivalent of people being asked to sit down and enjoy a beautiful sushi course made by the best chef ever, one piece at a time, and then complain that wanted fries and ketchup and infinite soda refills the entire time instead of enjoying the course. So when this episode came out, the bad reactors thought that the show lost its mystery if it's just a holocaust propaganda etc... it was very sad to watch. But then again, that's humanity for ya... So that's why the next season's beginning has a lot of "wait is this the same show" vibe, and im sure these girls will understand that this is intentional by Isayama the writer, unlike the controversy around the next few "reveals" from the online haters that just wanted something to hate.

honestly i didnt want them to grab a notebook just so that they take notes, but so that at end of the show, they look back at their notes, and just go completely shocked at how many things they got right or wrong. and considering their streak so far in the past few seasons... they are some of the most attentive and smart ladies out there, even when they're in full panic mode when apparently the camera zooms out a bit :p hahahaha

Yup. I sometimes chat with them on patreon. I believe they were multiple days/ even a couple of weeks ahead on the trilogy episodes, and i think those episodes are probably shot last week, and they should be heading into S4 by now if memory services. The safest bet is to assume 1-2 episodes ahead so that they dont go on too far without comment feedback in case they missed something or need to watch something before something else like the OVAs or end credit scenes etc.

i think the notebook sets up the questions and key words (many of which haylee already wrote down) so that they dont fly over their heads next episode. Considering how "overloaded" next episode is, i think it was a good idea to get that notebook in today and get into the mindset of not only paying attention (Which they are beautifully good at) but at also writing down the "huh? whats that word again? and ehm, why is this weird, does that mean that ... " etc

the episode already has a lot of answers and easter eggs that they themselves are more than we ever had before. It has a similar vibe to the "ymir/eren/reiner/bert" sitting in a tree vibe, where we think it's "lame" or "filler" but they have so SO many things right in your face that just begs fore more questions if paying attention to the details.

and asks many more questions. lol It may answer some of the Whats and Whos, maybe a couple of why Whens and Where... But there's still a lot of the "Whys" and "Hows" and "WHAT NOW" questions that just pop up lol, which in themselves reopen the first batch of questions

These girls are just what every AoT fan ever hopes for in a reactor to this series. The attention to details, the insights, even paying attention to the musical score behind the scenes when there's hope or dread or fear or mystery or joy... not many reactors do that. This unknown "black tea" (which the girls think is luxury coffee), annie's love of sweets which felt weird to sasha in a world that's barely able to find food for itself, the fact that Ymir was able to read a language that Reiner noticed back in the beginning of season 2 and even COMPLAINED that "picked heir is not my favorite but it'll do" when we know from ymir's flashbacks that she was a street rat barely able to find food in eren's inside the walls area (when she overheard the talks about historia). So like, how can beggers be chosers right? And now this random "portrait" that they can't even understand what a "photo" is, grisha probably had to explain what it was on the back of the image that he was in and hoping that a fellow patriot finds it and his books. And here's a little extra fun fact, ladies, to jog your memories... The episodes where we saw ymir's flashback as she was pretending to be the royal blood princess, the people that came in to apprehend her... did you ever notice that they were neither military police, nor guarisson, nor scouts? And yet they had advanced rifles? maybe some of the people in the flashback also had arm bands? mmm? :) (I'm calling out the last part because i know they're a few episodes ahead by now, so it's not a spoiler but more of a correlation and reminder of some scenery that people don't think much about it). Oh and very lovely take on how Grisha and Eren both share this desire and burning need to be free, or to seek out freedom. It's very mirroring in the whole "we're like sheep in a cage, waiting to be slaughtered by a stronger force" vibe, and i want to see what's outside these walls. Except, u know, Eren's walls are the big titan walls, and grisha's walls are whatever ya'll think they are by now :)

Oh, this is where it starts. You thought the episodes before were perplexing and packed just you wait. Your goosebumps will continue to rise from this episode forward.
