You're absolutely right! It's therapy. You get to rediscover the magic of this show and all the things you felt watching it the first time vicariously through others experiencing what you did.

2025-12-19 13:55:47 +0000 UTCThe way I rewatch this show, because is is one of my comfort shows, is I watch new people watch it. there is another reactor I watch who managed to sum up how I feel about the cancelation at the end of her reaction to Objects in Space. I rewatch that 1 minute when I am particularly mad and it calms me down. Thank you for loving this show.

2025-12-18 01:18:54 +0000 UTCYou should absolutely react to the TV show. Season 1 is pretty awesome. You do need to watch Karate Kid 2 and 3 first as they bring a lot of characters from those into the later seasons of Cobra Kai. Regarding the points in the final match, here's what I've found. Why tournaments banned face punches but allowed face kicks 1. Control expectations Traditional point karate assumed: - Punches are fast, linear, and hard to stop once committed - Kicks are slower, more telegraphed, and easier to pull - Officials believed skilled fighters could touch the head with a kick without full impact. - That assumption is debatable—but it’s what the rules were built on. 2. Safety equipment (or lack of it) - No headgear - No mouthguards visible - Bare knuckles A straight punch risks: - Broken noses - Eye damage - Dental injuries Ironically, they considered a controlled kick less likely to shatter teeth. 3. Scoring philosophy Head kicks were seen as: Technically difficult High skill Rare So they were rewarded, not restricted. Punches to the head were considered brawling, not “pure” karate.

2025-12-14 21:18:30 +0000 UTCFYI, during the filming of this episode is when the cast got the news that Firefly was being cancelled. It always seemed to me that the sadness and loss shown at the end of this episode was a little too real.
