Also, I need to go buy myself a plastic dinosaur for my desk now =( I am very upset!
Just a heads up that videos may be posted a bit sporadically because my computer hates me and keeps crashing when I try to export anything (this took me 2 days of troubleshooting to get exported lol) so just know that I am doing my best and will be posting daily again as soon as I can!

I love how you spotted Jayne doing the safety checks, many seem to miss it or at least dont comment on it, but it is my fav moment for jayne in the entire series/movie - and will do in place of his proper redemption arc. Clearly they have a plan for such a scenario like a crash landing, and Mal says "everybody strap into something. Jayne?" and he is on it, right away, putting other peoples lives above his own to check that everyone is strapped in properly. No money in it, no profit - part of the crew and he is the guy who can do the job best with being thrown around like that in a crash situation. Anyway, i just love that little moment, because that life or death really is the proper test of character, and does he only think of himself or not?

It is a comedy spoof of the Star Trek Genre - Specifically the tones and theme of the original series w/ Wm. Shatner. It is funny as heck but was done in a respectful and actually a loving manner. When it first came out Patrick Stewart ( Capt Picard from TNG) was quite reticent about it. As a classically trained Shakesperean actor he has always been very guarded about anything that might be disrespectful to Star Trek or its fans in any way. Jonathan Frakes ( Riker ) conviced him to go see it and he loved it and was cheering the loudest of anyone in the theatre at the end. These were his own words. While we're on the Sci-Fi Topics you mentioned that your main exposure was to Star Trek Voyager and you were thinking about watching some of the movies. If you want to watch The Wrath Of Khan you could watch the first season episode Space Seed. It would tell you all you need to know as the original episodes had no story arcs or continuing timelines and each episode stood completely on its own. I would also rcommend you check out The Next Generation episodes The Best of Both Worlds ( 2 Parter ) as it plays into some of the TNG Movies going forward. And finally you should watch the TNG episode 'The Inner Light'. This is considered by many people to be the single finest episode of Star Trek ever made across all the series and movies. In it, Patrick Strewart delivers an acting master class that will take your breath away. The impact of this episode was so profound that a physical prop used by Picard In the episode recently sold at auction for $ 190,000. I think it would be a high point if you reacted to just this single episode on the channel. This story stands on its own and you dont have to prep for it by watching anything else. Keep up the great work!

2026-01-24 02:25:18 +0000 UTCI've always felt that "Serenity" was a great way to bring the show to it's conclusion. I would have preferred more seasons, but in absence of that I thought Joss did a pretty good job with the story. He definitely left some story lines ambiguous but overall it was a satisfying ending. Incidentally, Whedon and the cast got together for a reunion about ten years later, to commemorate the show. During which he said that if he could have changed anything about the ending, it would have been the decision to kill off Wash.

One of my favorites with him is a film called Redbelt about a struggling Jujitsu instructor. I think you would enjoy it. Yes, David Krumholtz (Mr. Universe) is from Numbers. I’m sure you looked these up in your outro. I’m writing this mid reaction lol Loving it so far
