Something fascinating about the "exorcism" scene: even though Father Thomas wasn't an angel, last rites still successfully sent him onward. That seems to imply both the existence of heaven and that some aspect of Catholic rites are legit, right? This more than the impaling, fire-and-brimstone thing seemed to leave the door open for true goodness and holiness.

2025-12-31 16:42:04 +0000 UTCPoor Dean, he’s been through hell and only Hell so he doesn’t even consider the possibility that an Angel is real! When the people would see the “Angel” it actually looked like they saw Pennywise deadlights! Dean looks so sad without the shaking bed! 😂 “You’re supposed to be bad too Sam. Maybe I should just stop you right now.” Damn then Dean talking about Mary and her faith. This is why he doesn’t believe in anything good when he’s only ever experienced tragedy! 😔 The car chase was a better version of what was done in Saw 1 lol. Sam being heartbroken that it wasn’t an Angel was so sad. He just wanted a semblance of hope. But by the end of this episode they kind of flipped, Sam began to think they’re isn’t any Angels and Dean now believes there could be! I Love how as they’re talking Bob Dylan’s Knocking On Heavens Door is playing! I think Sam started praying a lot more around the time of his gf death. Oh and the priest on tv reminded me of X! I agree Sergio , Supernatural is one of the best shows that do “monster of the week” yet it still fully integrated the current theme and situation of the show! And this is Jared’s best performance of the season and maybe even the series so far
