2022-09-07 20:14:43 +0000 UTCAre there 30 species in that area alone? It's amazing. There seemed to be a lot of crayfish in the US and Australia! (and New Zealand too). In Asia, where I live, there seem to be fewer crayfish than I thought. They say there is only one species.

We call them crawdads here. one of my favorite rainy day activities as a kid was to go out and catch crawdads since that was when they emerged from their burrows! I would always let them when I had to go back inside. I just looked it up and there 30 species of crayfish native to Oklahoma! I wonder which were the species I used to catch? ๐ค
